Essay

Your essay is one of the most important components of your scholarship application. This is your opportunity to share your story and help the Scholarship Committee get to know you beyond your resume, transcript, and letters of recommendation.

Whether you're beginning your aviation journey or advancing your career as an industry professional, we want to learn about your passion for General or Business Aviation, your educational and professional goals, and how this scholarship will help you achieve your next milestone.

Essay Requirements

500–600 words

Address the following prompt:

Describe your educational and professional goals in General or Business Aviation. Share what inspired your aviation journey, how this scholarship will support your next step, and how you hope to contribute to the future of Colorado's business aviation community.

We encourage you to be authentic, thoughtful, and specific. The strongest essays clearly communicate your passion, commitment, and vision for your future in aviation.

Important: The CABA Foundation Scholarship Program is intended to support careers in General and Business Aviation. Your essay should clearly demonstrate how your educational or professional goals align with this mission. Applicants pursuing career paths outside of General and Business Aviation, including commercial airline career pathways, are not eligible for this scholarship.

Beyond the first year, recipients are encouraged to remain involved through membership, volunteering, mentoring, networking, and supporting future scholarship recipients.
